Industry Overview
Since February 2023, Siemens issued a procurement requirement for high-voltage testing equipment. After multiple rounds of screening, our company was included in Siemens’ supplier list. Then, we filled in our relevant information in SCM STAR and completed the registration of Siemens’ supplier qualifications. Next, we inquired about Siemens’ detailed requirements. The customer proposed several different requirements, and we formulated several solutions based on the requirements. After multiple rounds of communication, Simens finally determined the 6000KVA/1000KV solution. Subsequently, both parties conducted detailed negotiations on technical specifications, delivery time, and payment terms. Finally, in July 2024, our company received the Siemens’ purchase order and the issued letter of credit.
After receiving the letter of credit, we began to arrange production matters in a tight schedule. We formulated a detailed timetable, including the time for raw material preparation, assembly, debugging, testing, and acceptance. During the production process, we held video conferences with the customer every week to report the production progress, send pictures of raw material arrival, production pictures, etc. We strictly followed the contract timetable and conducted the customer acceptance stage from August 7th to 9th. On August 10th, we formulated a transportation plan with the freight forwarding company and dispatched the equipment to Shanghai Airport.
On August 20th, our professional engineering team traveled to the Siemens site for equipment installation, testing, and training. They closely collaborated with Siemens engineers and completed the equipment positioning, wiring, and preliminary debugging in just a few days. The installation process strictly followed safety norms and was customized according to the Siemens’ on-site environment. After installation, the team immediately conducted a one-week on-site training covering equipment operation, maintenance points, and fault troubleshooting, helping the Siemens technicians quickly master the system usage skills. After the training, the customer conducted a test experiment on the 500KV GIS on-site, and the project was successfully completed.
This cooperation not only strengthened our technical capabilities in high-voltage testing but also demonstrated the advantages of the letter of credit payment model in international procurement. The efficient execution of the entire process from order to training set a benchmark for our subsequent large equipment exports and further consolidated our leading position in industrial technological innovation and excellent service.
