The main structure of an oil immersed transformer consists of a body, an oil tank, a cooling device, a protective device, and an outgoing device. The device body includes an iron core, windings (coils), insulation, leads, and tap changers; The fuel tank includes the fuel tank body and fuel tank accessories (drain valve, grounding screw, trolley, nameplate, etc.); The cooling device includes a radiator and a cooler; The protective device includes an oil storage tank, oil label, safety airway, moisture absorber, temperature measuring element, and gas relay; The outgoing device includes high and low voltage bushings.

1. Characteristics of oil immersed transformers

① The low-voltage winding of oil immersed transformers generally adopts a cylindrical structure with copper foil winding, except for small capacity copper wires. The high-voltage winding adopts a multi-layer cylindrical structure. Make the distribution of ampere turns in the winding balanced, with low magnetic leakage, high mechanical strength, and strong short-circuit resistance.

② The iron core and winding are each fastened with measures, and the fastening parts such as the height and low-voltage leads of the device are equipped with self-locking anti loosening nuts. They adopt a non suspended structure, which can withstand the shaking during transportation.

③ The coil and iron core are vacuum dried, and the transformer oil is vacuum filtered and injected to minimize moisture inside the transformer.

④ The oil tank adopts corrugated sheets, which have a breathing function to compensate for the volume change of oil caused by temperature changes. Therefore, this product does not have an oil storage tank, which obviously reduces the height of the transformer.

⑤ Due to the replacement of oil storage tanks with corrugated sheets, the transformer oil is isolated from the outside world, effectively preventing the entry of oxygen and moisture, which can lead to a decrease in insulation performance.

⑥ Based on the above five performance points, it ensures that oil immersed transformers do not require oil change during normal operation, greatly reducing the maintenance cost of transformers and extending their service life.
