Although both DC resistance testers and loop resistance testers are used for resistance measurement, there are several obvious differences between them:

1. Test current range:

The testing current of a DC resistance tester is generally small, usually less than or equal to 1A, and is mainly used for measuring low resistance such as contact resistance, conduction resistance, and connection resistance.

The testing current of the circuit resistance tester is relatively large, usually between 100A and 200A, mainly used to measure the circuit resistance of high-voltage switches, load switches, and other equipment.

2. Measurement object:

The DC resistance tester is mainly used to measure various low resistances, such as the contact resistance, conduction resistance, and connection resistance of electrical equipment.

The circuit resistance tester is mainly used for measuring the circuit resistance of switch equipment such as high-voltage switches and load switches, and can directly reflect the contact situation of switch contacts.

3. Working principle:

The core part of a DC resistance tester is the measurement circuit, which operates based on Ohm's law and Kirchhoff's law. It applies a constant high-precision current to the external load to be tested by controlling a constant current source, and then processes the obtained data (including test voltage, current test current, etc.) to obtain the actual resistance value.

The circuit resistance tester uses a pulse width modulation high-frequency switching power supply to provide a test current greater than 100A, and processes the data through sampling circuits, amplifiers, A/D converters, microprocessors, and other components to ultimately display the measured current and resistance values.

In summary, there are significant differences between DC resistance testers and loop resistance testers in terms of testing current range, measurement object, and working principle.
